Ok, I'm trying to run a Primo DSG hub guard on my right side, and it fits pretty good. I had to stretch the frame to get it on, and now the wheel is locked up and won't spin. I think the frame is squeezing it or something.

Any Ideas?

Oh, and I have been working on an edit

Pedals wont move?
Will the wheel spin alone?

I can pedal backwards just fine, but not forwards (The wheel won't spin)

Hmmm..... sounds like its maybe your cone nuts are too tight or the bearings are shot.

Come nuts is my guess. Probably too tight.

How do I loosen the nuts without the wheel coming loose? Like it will spin for like 50 years a and then tighten back up

You didn't remove any nuts or anything did you when you installed the guard?

I feel like that guard has hella space between the spokes and guard. Like it take up toooo much room

I got ride of some spacers to make room

Put it all back together how it was before the guard. I'm guessing the spacers you e removed are causing to much pressure on your driver/wheel causing the issue

Dsg add to the width of your hub so you'll have to stretch your frame abit to fit it.

the primo dsg sucks dick, i used to have one and it fucked my hub up. does your chain rub on the guard at any point? mine used to do that its either that, the cone nuts too tight like they said or driver, in general man invest in switching the side of your drive train to the oppo side for now, best investment and thing i did

I can't really afford that, does anyone know a DSG that would work well?

|

Have you put it back together like I said?

I had the same problem w/ my front hub guard. It rubbed up against the hub so much that metal shards came off. So I tried to put a washer in there and the bolt wasn't in the rim enough(the bolt is weird don't no how to explain it) and I went to hang 5 and the hole rim fell off. So I put it on the outside of the forks ( wont work in ur case ) and it works perfectPhoto

I know someone who did that with a DSG, and it sort of wrapped around the dropout, so it worked quite well.

Fixed it using your guys' suggestion! Just sawed and grinded down the edges so it fit over my dropout

Hopefully it will stay working smoothly!

I don't see why it stopped working in the first place, except for you saying you remove parts of your hub.

Also guards on the out side looks fucking horrid
