I need help on a half link chain. i want to paint my frame but i need to remove my half link chain, but i don't want to buy a master pin, can i just use the same pin. Also i want to paint the chain chrome is it possible and would it damage the chain.

I wouldn't bother painting the chain mate, it just makes weird noises and performs worse if you paint it.
I do stuff and I'm not good at it.
