I want a beginner bmx for around £250, nothing higher than £260. Any recommendations? I saw a BMX called Vandals INC, but there are negative reviews of their bikes everywhere. Are they good?

Keep your eyes peeled on the Halfords website for deals on the mongoose scan r120. It was down to 208 in the summer, which was a ridiculously good price. The scan r90 isn't too bad either, compared to other bikes in the price range

How about a second hand bike you can pick up a lot of bike for £250

I got my Haro 300 for £70 off gumtree it was in perfect/mint condition only had a couple of small marks on the bars until I starting throwing it around skate parks most modern bikes are built like tanks things to look for are dented, bent or buckled rims/wheels, bent sprockets, dented or cracked frames, play in wheel, bottom bracket or head set bearings and any "home" mods .. If it has loads of marks and paint walk away ... Phone the owner and have a long chat most will be pretty straight with you I find gumtree better than eBay as you can go and look and buy there and then if it's good ..

If you go for a Wethepeople Arcade, Envy or a Haro 400 or 500 easy get a really good one for £250 .. I saw a Arcade the the other day was a unwanted present for £150 it was mint ...

My 300 is a bit on the heavy side but a nice bike to ride for now it will do for crashing around parks ..

Chain Reaction Cycles has got some decent bikes for around the £200-£250 mark. Some pretty good discounts and offers on 2014 and 2015 old stock.
