If I replace my sprocket do I need to get a new chain?

This may be a stupid question. My bike currently has a 25t sprocket, and I want to get a 28t sprocket to go faster. Would I need a new chain? I have a 2016 Kink Launch and the chain is a Mission 410.

You'll need an extra link or 2, might as well get a chain

If you're getting a bigger tooth sprocket the diameter will be bigger , you might need a halflink on each end , or see if someone can put on a normal link although it can be a pain in the ass . You don't need a new chain though , if you have the cash if wouldn't be bad , but my chain has seen 3 sprockets ? And it's fine . As lon as your chain isn't falling apart it doesn't matter .
