Hi all ,

My names Adam and I’m 33 years old. I had a bike as a kid and had many friends who were serious into bmx. I however was just one of the guys so I got myself a bike and went around with them. I never really put much effort into learning tricks as I was just afraid. I left the U.K. to go live in Iceland with my wonderful girlfriend whom I’ve been with for around 8 years.
So when I left I gave my bike away to a friend thinking I’d never need or want a bmx again.

So 10 months ago I had a strong urge to want to ride..being 32 at the time I had the feeling of get a bike now and try my best or just get older living in regret, so off to sourcebmx.com I went and purchased myself a mid range bike just to see how I got on. 3 weeks after my fit Brandon begin complete arrived I decided yes I want to give bmx another go with more of a serious approach so I went back to source and got myself a 2019 Sunday street sweeper complete and have just been trying what I can when I can ever since.
I’m totally surprised with my progress I’m a 1000 times better than I ever was as a kid. So I set myself an Instagram account up “pinkmilkbmx” to document my journey back into bmx with pictures and videos which I know will make me so proud to look back on years from now.
I even found 2 people in the country who also ride bmx and during this past 10 months I know of around 6 people in the country who ride bmx and we try to meet up when possible.
If your an older guy with no bmx experience or very little it’s never too late to just bite the bullet and buy a bike and give it your best shot!
Riding bmx is so much fun I wish I would have got one years ago hehe.

Thanks for taking the time to read this and I wish you all well with your riding!

Welcome back to the fun!

Signed,
A fellow old-head.

Hey everyone

My name is TJ and Im 27 years old. I just started BMXing a little under 3 months ago and am dedicated to progressing a lot! I've skateboarded on and off my entire life, so skateparks are not a new concept to me, but BMX riding is. I'm currently riding an old DK bike with tiny handlebars and a big fat sprocket haha. Learning more about BMX so I can build up a new and more modern bike.

So far, I feel I'm progressing fast and can double peg stall, feeble and have landed a few smith grinds on boxes and hubbas. I can pull up bar spin, fast plant, air out the quarter pipe about a foot, drop in, disaster and am getting pretty good at landing fakie.

I've been uploading videos of my progress on my youtube channel XS Progression show the battles of me landing these tricks and even new tricks I land when I skate.

Looking forward to learning more about the BMX world and learning tips and tricks from you guys!

Hi, my name's Dory and I have short term memory loss.

I've been riding mountain bikes for almost 20 years and have been wanting to see if I can add yet another expense to my long list of things I spend money I don't have on. I live in the Lake Tahoe area, coach skiing in the winter and wrench on bikes in the summer. I tell people that I'm a filmmaker and photographer.

Stoked to learn about another part of the pedal world!

Well hello, a 36 year old rider from Winnipeg, MB Canada. I started BMX'ing late last year. I've started dropping into quarters this year and cannot stop my addiction for BMX.

I ride a Dan Conway GT which has served me very well.

Cheers

Heyo! Chris here. 42 years old and just getting back to BMX. I just picked up a 20inch with a 22 inch top tube. I'm 6'2 215. It's taking a bit to get used to after bike messenging in SF for a bit on a 26. I'm definitely open to some advice. I'm guessing the more I ride it the more I'll get used to it. Also I live in Littleton CO and am looking for riding buds. Tha

Hello, another older guy looking to get in BMX. I am 42, from SE. Massachusetts, I used to peddle around when I was younger, wasn't any good, but I've always loved riding and watching. Now that I have a little more time on my hands to focus on a new hobby, I'd like to have some fun again. Still, I haven't picked up a bike yet, looking, deciding on a budget, not sure what to get really. So I'm reading up, and trying to take it all in.

I am Nick and just getting into BMX at 34 years old. Rode bikes at as a kid but never seriously and recently i decided BMX was my new hobby and i am going for it. Never to old to start having fun! Live in Salt Lake City and look forward to throwing myself down some stairs and maybe even Off some roof tops if i can manage to find the balls my wife took with her and the dog in the divorce. Seems like you have to be gritty to ride BMX and that's the kind of toughness i am ready to bleed for while earning my spot in the pages of BMX magazine and maybe even the back cover shot. Rock on y'all and keep peddling while you can otherwise you'll get lost in the world of wrinkled old skin accompanied by a lack of self worth and a courier in growing old. Stay young and Send it!!!

What up guys! Good lawd its been a long time since I've been on a bike in the air. I'm 32 so I started with a GT Dyno Compe back in the 90's, had a local sponsor through Sun/Ski Sports and went up from there. I eventually gave it all up for 4 wheels and horsepower. I'm back now though but looking to find some good urban riding around Reno/Sparks area. I like parks for practice but I'm from the east coast and they don't stand behind skate/freestyle parks like communities out here, so I'm used to using the city concrete. If anyone is around the Reno/Sparks or Carson City area in NV hit me up and lets ride.

Yoooooooo! My name’s Jesse. Grew up riding bikes and making jumps with friends. Been surfing and skating my whole life, broke my foot 3 months ago and during the healing process decided I was going to try mountain biking. The BMX gods must’ve spoken though because I ended up with an Elite Destro and started hopping over stuff like I was 13 again (I am now 30). Best choice I ever made! Cheers!

Aye, I'm Jared. I started riding when I was 13 after I bought a Poverty Buck99 with money I made detassling corn. I rode for about 6 years until I broke my wrist in 2008 and didnt have the money/insurance to fix it. Fast forward 10/11 years, I got the itch to start riding again and now I'm back on the wagon. Crazy to see how much this stuff has progressed in the last decade. I'll throw up a bike check at some point!

Hey

Looking to come back to BMXs after a couple decades after having one through childhood and my teens that I had a great time knocking the shit out of myself on. Couple of injuries have left it hard to find a comfortable ride, and the last thing that worked was a BMX, after reading and lurking and getting more fixated on having a BMX here I am. Ireland based.

Thanks for reading, big up!

Hello all -

I used to race bmx in the early to mid 80's. I had a p.k. ripper, a robinson and a huffy that looked like a moosegoose. I'm thinking about getting a bike for tooling around the block or so.

New guy here. I'm a 38 year old fat dude that's looking to get into BMX with my sons and to lose some weight by riding. My limited experience with BMX was a few summers back in elementary school. The neighborhood kids and I pretty much lived at the BMX dirt race track for a few summers. Delco Park, Kettering Ohio!

Now I'm old, fat, and have kids. I recently moved to a new town that actually has a decent bike park. It's got 2 pump tracks, a few different dirt jump lines and a bunch of mountain bike trails. I'm also about 30 minutes away from an awesome indoor bike park. Mikes Bike Park in Dayton, OH!

My 8 year old loves riding so I'm currently looking into getting him a new bike that's a lot nicer than his current Wal-Mart special and get myself something that wont fall apart the first time I beat on it.

I'm planning on riding dirt and street. Thinking I'm going to try to learn some tricks and probably end up injuring myself.

Wish me luck!

Hi Bob, my name is Rob haha. I just got back into riding after about 5-7 years away (towards the end I barely rode, got into some bad shit for a while) I started riding seriously around 2001 or so and I just ride for fun.. always have. It used to be a lot different.. less concern over how nice your bike was and a handful of dirtbags riding loud, dented, heavy bikes, with brakes and two pegs haha. Although I definitely was a little trendy at first during the whole light bike craze but I stopped that shit pretty quick... Idk what to say here..I ramble and don't make sense most of the time. I'm not as bitter as I seem sometimes.. I'm nice to everyone and it seems people usually like me or at least are able to put up with me after they get to know me. I'm kinda weird, I play guitar (mostly acoustic) I like jam bands and classic rock, I'm into just about all things outdoors/nature, I ride mtb and roadbikes as well.. once again... Idk.. I'm bored and my wife is sleeping so here I am.. HI!.

Hello my name is Riot I’m 33 years old 315lbs and I’m looking at getting into bmx to loose weight. I’m Canadian and live in a very small town north of Edmonton. We do have a decent little skate park though. I’m looking at just riding around at first then learning how to manual and bunny hop hopefully get into some grinds and barspins in the future. I currently do not own a bike as times are tough right now and I’m looking for a used one that could support my awesomeness lol any and all advice would be appreciated. I’m 6’2” 315lbs on a budget good luck right. Anyway thanks for your time and I hope to hear from you.
