When your doing a fakie, do you roll your pedal back a little so it disengage, because mine is a bit weird. I have to roll it back a little or it will not disengage and I have to pedal back like I have a cassette hub??

If you land heavy as fuck and the impact makes your back foot move down and it enagages you're on your ass .

If you do a long fakie and adjust your legs to balance and the cranks move down and it engages there goes your line.

If you go to fullcab and start to carve into the spin and you move your feet so your pedals don't scrap when you about to spring into your pop there goes your trick.

Full slack is good for a reason and it's why many companies choose to make that the stock option on there hubs.

I run minimal slack on my coaster.

Weird, I guess, but I never have 180ed a 12 set at 800mph.

For fakies, I balance rather with my body and bars and sight down the down tube than move the cranks up or down...

Everyone has his own preference. As I don't ride street that much, I don't like to run full slack, and as I ride dirt, I run as little slack as possible, or else I won't have the time to engage if I want to go fast.

Still, try taking one disc out and see if you like it better that way...

It doesn't matter where a train goes. It's decidin' to get on that does.

I run the real max slack, with no tiny washers, and the big one flipped.

At first I was like you, curious about how it feels with different numbers of washers, I had took one off, than another, than all.
That was better, smoother, less to care about the hub engagement while riding fakie.
So these setting was perfect for half cabbing and playing around in fakie but I had start to do alot of fakie hops, and while doing this your crank moves forward alot so you can pop the hop but the hub engages at one moment or another, or just before leaving the ground, or at the landing, in both situations you'll have to backpedal to disengage the hub at the landing and it´s not cool.
So I did a quick search on freecoaster slack to help me and I had found this video who explain how to work on freecoaster slack, and discover something who had change my life, the big washer can be flipped for alot more slack than just without the 3 washers. It solve my fakie hops problem and had bring me more confidence for 180 gaps.

Hope it will help you, freecoasters feels better with the max slack, now you got to experiment by yourself.

Incorrect. More washers= less slack, less washers=more slack

I'm on the vital legit list!

Riding a stock demolition rotator (didn't wanna fuck with it) and 30 9 gearing, that makes it have not very much slack at all , I don't mind it at all though , if it engages and I get tossed off from a sketchy landing that's alright id rather take a slam and get the trick smoother the next time

The washers take up space in your coaster. When you take them out, the clutch moves further before engaging, causing more slack.
