Measure it. A mid bearing has an od of 41mm, Spanish is 37mm

Had to order new measuring tape as old one was missing the first part.

Are there any markings on the frame? Also the bearings you have look like they are probably Spanish unless the frame fits American witch is very unlikely.

I can't see the pics so I can't help, depending on the year he might

It looks like a modern frame from what I could see. I am pretty sure his bearings are Spanish and his frame is for mid, considering they are smaller than the frame.

What cranks do you have? If they have a 22mm axle, yes you need a 22mm bb

|

I have the bearings that was on it and crank but bearings are damaged and need new ones.

The BB I bought was Mid BB 19mm Which is a tiny bit too small than the original ones that were in there before

+ no where says it's this size or that

Bearings say 'R12 - 2RS'

R12 is a Mid bearing with a 3/4"(19mm) bore. The 2RS is just to say that it has rubber seals on both sides. They need to be pressed or hammered into the frame as they're made to be very tight to the BB shell. Just be careful when you do put them in and take your time to avoid damaging your bearings.

Too small for the cranks? Or too small for the frame?

Use a rubber mallet when tapping the bearings into your frame, and put grease in the frame to help prevent them from seizing

Thanks p1p, Steve it's tiny bit too small for frame the old bearings I took out of the frame say R12 - 2RS

I still ave original 3 piece crank that was on the frame just need new bearings which I think are MID BB 22mm as I bought 19mm Mids are little too small

Find something to measure it with, looks like a Spanish bearing. Mid are all the same outside diameter (41mm,whereas Spanish are 37mm). The 19/22mm refer to the axle size of the cranks (the inside diameter of the bearing). Does the bearing fit over the axle of your cranks?

|

10/9/2017 5:26 AM

Yeah they fit in the crank axle just not frame

|

10/9/2017 5:44 AM

So your axle is 19mm, you need a 19mm mid bb, that's a 19mm spanish bb that you have

|

10/9/2017 5:52 AM

So the frame is a 19mm Spanish? Aren't Spanish bb smaller than mids?

No, your cranks are 19mm, your frame is mid, so you need 19mm mid bb.Photo
The one on the left is a 19mm spanish, the same as the one you have. The one on the right is a 19mm mid, which is what you need

|

10/9/2017 6:25 AM

When I ordered the bearings they were MID BB 19mm? Same as label in packet

|

10/9/2017 6:27 AM

I'll need to contact shop as they definitely MID BB 19mm

Measure them to be sure. Only other option is your frame has a US shell, which is 52mm id, but it really doesn't look that big

What bike/frame is it?

|

10/9/2017 7:22 AM

I have a American Frame it's definitely not American it's gotta be a Mid 22mm, Are Spanish smaller than mids?

But what frame? Spanish is smaller. You need a mid 19mm. Your cranks are 19mm, so 22mm will be too big. Tell me what bike you've got, I'll Google it and be able to confirm what size the shell is
