as long as its tight enough to not hit the right chainstay is it ok?

even if it does hit the chain stay it will only scratch the paintwork. If you really want it tighter and your wheel is as far back as possible you could take a link or two of your chain

More tension on a chain = more likely to snap

A empty balloon is less likely to pop than one with air inside, because there is less force on the object.

i know it feels better loose cause i always had tight chain cus when you bouce it sounds more solid but thats about it plus i always heard cracking and stuff when i had it tight
cause there is no diff tight or loose
