I laced my rim but the hub is not centered and causing the rim to spin wildly. I loosen the nipples and adjust the hub to the center right?

I did the same thing. My spokes were to short and I needed new ones. Last time I ever deal with relacing rims.

make sure all nips are on the last thread.

What do I do if I got spokes that are sticking out? They are all 36H Spokes that were part of the original rim. Most of them fit but I got some odd ones that are sticking out.
