What's the difference between them and what's better for what part of your bike. Thanks.
Well one is a spray and ones a thicker grease. Either is good but some people prefer actual grease, i prefer spray, gets in hard to reach spots
Lithium grease is slick, but wears out really fast with a lot of use. What are you trying to lube?
Open cage bearings for hubs, bottom brackets and pedals: waterproof bearing grease from the auto parts store.
Chain: dry lube
Sealed bearings: replace when worn
I don't think sealed bearings in bmx are truly sealed all you need is an exacto knife to pop the face off and pack it full of grease and put the face back on
The "sealed" portion just means that they are enclosed, compared to open-caged. Really just keeps the majority of dirt, air, and water out...but definitely no "sealed" 100%.
Depending on the type, but most for hubs they are cheap (like $2-5 each), it's just quick and easy to replace.
If you do take them apart, be cautious of bending the metal retaining clips and rings. Simply packing them will not get rid of any crunchy grindy bits if they have dust/dirt in them...you have to fully clean the bearings with solvents and then, reassemble and pack. It's not too difficult, but takes a lot of time for a $3 bearing.
Pack with a waterproof automotive grease.
Or pop off both seals and blast with a degreaser, let fully dry, replace one seal, then put lubricant in them and replace other seal.
I do that for my BB, and it has been through 3 frames. It's roughly 8-10 years old.
