Could you make your own parts if you have a welder and everything?
like bars starting out then forks and frames?
and where could you find the demintions and stuff?

the only thing i would be concerned about is them breaking and me getting messed up real bad

Gussets and smooth welds on frame. forks and bars no.

I saw a kid a park one time who had an all custom frame. One of his friend made it for him and the dropouts were made to hold just female hubs. It was pretty sick. And it had a bunch of holes in it. You would never be able someone made it,

Just because you can do simple welding won't mean you can construct a decent frame

i actually got into frame building 6 months ago. i was shadowing a professional frame builder (owner of califera trials frames). his first frame took him a year to plan and construct. it wasnt til his 3rd frame it worked (and he owns a fabrication company). i planned on building a bmx frame but it got so complicated it wasnt worth my time. its something awesome to know but it depends how far you want to get into it. and you'd need alottt more than justa welder btw.
