So I was checking out the website and wow they hubs the rims the forks are affordable and I was wondering are they worth it? Will they hold up to a beginner?

It's what Kink puts on their bikes. I would think YES but I don't have a Kink. I think plenty of people riding MIssion stuff though. There are different levels of stuff though. What specific parts are you talking? Maybe link them and it will help people better to know if they're decent or not.

If you're still learning and not sending huge gaps or completely abusing your bike, you'll be alright. Majority of their stuff is up-to-par with products that fall into the same price range. Kink used them on their completes heavily some years ago.

Mission makes some pretty good stuff for their price points! They offer sealed female wheels for the price of most hubs alone, and lots of other goods.

If you're on a budget, go for it!

We have some Mission components in stock and online at WWW.POWERSBIKESHOP.COM 🙌

Mission has some decent parts for cheap. I love the mission brakes and lever. I had a mission front hub that was ok. It held up but wasn’t the smoothest rolling hub out there so I replaced it with a vandero pro. The bars and forks are good for a beginner, but if you ride hard you WILL bend them.

I agree with the above, for the money (and in some cases regardless of money) they have some nice parts.

I bought a intrepid rear cassette wheel of there's in 2015 and its now gone through 4 full years of frequent use for 3 different people and is still straight and spinning well.

I really like the mission parts I have run in the past, female rear cassette complete wheel, still going with zero maintanence from a couple years ago. Have some u brakes that are still being used from 3 years ago. Had a lever that I dont know what happened to but im sure its still operational. Never bought any skeltal parts but Im sure they are decent.

They make the best front hubguards I have ever ran and I've had S&M and daily grinds.

I believe in hub guard protection

I had a kink complete and even when I started putting together a custom...I continue to use mission parts as upgrades from the complete

I've never had a problem with any of their products...I would take mission parts over anything from companies like rant that usually also fall into that budget category

recently put a mission hollow axle and mission 8t driver into a bonedeth hub and it works well. Driver has bushings and axle is shorter, so its a decent upgrade.(kinks website actually has the exact same axle)
my first time using mission products so i cant say much yet.

but i did have to modify the driver to fit into the hub... fun stuff.

So a 9t hub can be converted into a 8t hub and it will still be able to be used by the same drive train?

well yeah, if its compatible..

was going to get bigger sprocket, but short chainstay+huge tire clearance make it hard to keep a smooth drive. Even the 25t barely fits.

Everything measures exactly as the stock bonedeth. Although the mission lock nut is reverse threaded.. i swapped that for odyssey of equal size.

kinda started as a gamble. Wasn't 100% sure anything would fit. First attempt was with an odyssey driver. Works and super silent, but I shaved it down a little too much. Really wanted to try 8t, so second attempt came out perfect.

dont buy stuff without confidence or at least be prepared to work past obstacles.

I have a 2019 fiend it has mission 3 piece cranks and mission wheels mission pedels and mission chain and I really like the cranks and pedels and wheels they've held up very well and the mission cassette hub is quiet and super smooth

I've had mission parts in the past, nothing broke just retired. Great price and just decent stuff.

I use Mission a lot for lacing wheels, They get the job done and are really inexpensive. Sounds like a benign part, but their spoke nipples are nice and long. Both the alloy and brass are also really smooth...haven’t had issues with rejecting pets because they “stick” on the spoke.

Love their old React hub, I'm sure the new hub they have is great too.

My kids and I have 4 Kink bikes (Switch, Whip XL, Launch x2) and the only issue I have is the rear wheel on my Switch was a little out of true from the factory. Easy fix. Would definitely recommend if on a budget. The coaster has been perfect so far though. All the wheels/hubs/brakes are Mission. The cassette wheels are really nice too. The Mission brake pads are pretty terrible now that I think about it but that’s an easy fix.

Pretty good value from all of their parts depending on your needs. If you're an intermediate or advanced rider then I'd probably stay away from the bars, cranks, forks, and rims. None of their chromoly parts appear to be heat treated and will likely bend. And their rims are pinned instead of welded so that joint tends to be pretty weak. Everything else looks like decent clone parts from the same Taiwanese manufactures that the big bike brands use. Their hubs, brakes, pedals, pegs, and headsets/BBs are an awesome deal.

I have mission impulse pedals that I've abused for years and they're still excellent can't complain about them at all

i don't like the Mission wheels. i don't like the eagle on the rim and i'm not crazy about the price. i doubt they'll tru correctly but they might be good for a few rides.

I have a homie that rides a mission cassette wheel and he hasn’t bothered to change it yet. Held up strong for 2+ years and still going

Eighties frames are generic at best, probably made all in the same factory as Sunday and cult and every other big Bmx brand

Mission parts are the shit. They are heavy, cheap and last forever. They remind me of Danscomp Poverty brand. I'd run an entire Mission parts bike tbh

|

Most of their parts are fine, but do not get their bars, i have had a pair get crushed under a stem and a friend's pair bend. This is because they aren't heat treated.
