Not allowed to ride over something stupid

Well this thread made me laugh. I know i shouldn't have ridden on the van, i understand that. I just wanted a sweet clip and i was pumped up. It does make me wonder though why so many of you guys love little devil so much but seem to hate me for riding on a van, i mean, they ruined a great spot by driving a car over rails... I serisouly laughed so hard at what ethan said, if every company gets written permision to ride a spot before hand why do they get kicked out and ticketed all the time? Haha

I understand you because My parents are waay too strict sometimes too... After my last injury (a bigass wound on my arm and one on my knee) they said that they won't allow me to ride anymore because bmx was too dangerous and it's not worth it... After a month they let me ride again though, but it was shit to hear that they won't let me ride anymore

Just like to put this out there. What curtis did isn't the best thing to do and it could have repercussions. But also, I'm guessing a lot of people don't mind doing wallrides and grinding rails and such right? What is the difference from riding an old van from doing a wallride on someones business or grinding a ledge or rail. Do you really think that people are okay with that as well. You don't think that business owners wouldn't like there place to look at its best. Yes I personally don't think riding on someones car is the right thing to do, especially since i fix up a lot of old cars for myself and put months into restoring them and know how much of an ass it is to get stretch points or dents out of panels. But wouldn't you feel the same if it was your shop or house? Don't be so one sided, not everything is black and white, unless you are a dog.

Try to tell your parents that you're 14 and you make mistakes. Tell them that you were with your friends and you were in the heat of the moment and you didn't think it would end up being as serious as it is. You're lucky that you aren't in any legal trouble. Just keep yourself busy for the next 10 days and then be very careful. Sorry to hear that you're not allowed to ride for a while though. It happens though. As for that kid, just talk to him. Ask him why he did it and listen to what he has to say. Don't use violence, I mean it was a dick move of him but no reason to fight the kid and ruin your relationship with him and his parents AND your parent's relationship with him and his parents.

Yeah though with a bike it is easier to get in and out of places, but were on the same page, same as for a couple more people on here which is good to see/know.

so- lets say Tom Dugan is riding a parking lot, plywood, to wallride to 180 to vantop to fakie bunnyhop off the van.
He pulls off the wallride, but doesn't have enough to make it to the top of the van, he lands on the roof, his bike goes through the windshield of the van. Dugan has a broken ankle, and lots of scrapes and glass in his legs (cuz we all know he rides in basically nothing)
What happens is now- Odyssey, or FIT whoever was sponsoring the video, now has to pay to replace the glass, and any body work to the car, they also have to pay to have the broken glass cleaned up from the ground. aswell as possibly pay for mr. Dugan's medical records.
all of this will most likely be about 10k all together to clean up...
and that is why that Odyssey seat they showed at that thing 5 months ago, now wont be released for another year because they had to pay for a fuckup. And I'm sure Mr. Dugan will be feeling like shit because just like any JOB his BOSS WILL BE YELLING AT HIM FOR IT once he heals up im sure.
