I would not be able to diagnose issues based on that.
If it runs smoothly and doesn't make odd noises, I would guess it is ok? They probably bought a couple new parts. Lots of kids buy a sprocket as one of their first "upgrades".

I'm not sure.....but I think Da Frog is asking if it's okay for his frame to have parts on it that are a different brand?
If that's the case then your bike is fine; like dave said if there are no funny sounds and it rides smooth then its fine.
You can build bikes out of parts from different manufacturers. Don't worry your bike won't explode
