So I used to ride in the early 2000's (i'm old) and I quit for about 10 years. I recently started back up and bought a new bike. Today I went and picked up my old bike from my moms garage and I just realized what a POS it is. I was broke back then so my friends would hook me up with parts.
It's at least 12lbs heavier. It's a 2001 DK six pack frame. The fork I have on this thing i'm not even sure what it is but it's super heavy duty and the fork itself has peg mounts. I'm pretty sure the sprocket has 36 teeth maybe more, it's massive compared to my 25. My bars are tiny, like 8 high and 25 or 26 wide. I kinda miss those small bars, might cut my new ones down. The crank is still in pretty good condition but it's to big for my new bike. It's a 3 pc WTP, still smooth as hell. The primo metal pedals are still in great condition too so I think i'll put those on my new bike.
I'm just ranting but I find it amazing how much things have changed.
