Ok, I got one for You guys here that has stumped the hell outta Me. My son & I wer checking out the local auction here in Roseville, Ca, when We spotted this nasty little half a 18" bike. No front end whatsoever,no seat or post....just a frame, rear wheel & tire, cranks, sprocket & pedals. The whole thing had been spray painted over with some flat black paint. The pedals, the spokes, hub & even the tire had been sprayed black. So anywys I started looking at it real close & noticed that it had profile cranks on it so I bought it for $20. I brought it home & started strippng off the paint in hopes to maybe find a logo but no luck. The cranks & sprocket are profile, its got a G-Sport rim & hub & Ruben Alcantana signiture pedals,So Iam thinking with all this stuff on it, It cant be a wallmart bike. Heres some pics of the frame,Thanks for looking Photo

It's a hoffman frame for sure. But I doubt those cranks are profile. That's an 8 spline unsealed crank set.

I'm on the vital legit list!

Late 90s Hoffman Condor.

|

45 refs and counting check profile.

Deffo a Hoffman of some discription. Lower end going by the unsealed bb and standard h/t but that's expected in old 18" bikes since its only the last few years that company's have stepped up the 18" game.

I have to agree that I doubt the cranks are profiles. Also leaning in the direction of I doubt that the rim is a gsport (don't think they have made 18" wheel parts)

But for interests sake I'd love to see pics of the other parts

H*B

That's Hoffman, probably a late 1990's frame, search for frames from the 1980's that came with bottom gussets, non-integrated headset and bottom bracket, as well as integrated seat post.

There is a lot of luck in finding out what it is... There are a lot of easy clues on this frame.
Really looks like a condor around the back end. Plus it has a bottom tube gusset.
