Stoked on this news. All of their new stuff looks dope. Excited for it to drop.

From a business standpoint I'm excited to see how the company moves forward from their terrible rep they have aquired. Can't wait, hopefully they make it instead of tanking. If they don't truly step it up from the Walmart days they may just lose all credibility with bmx and be toast. Hopefully they succeed though. Time will tell, lol

Saw this earlier. Walmart marked down all the dk stuff. Spent 28$ and got 2 pairs of shuko grips and 4 bundys to try

the shukos are pretty nice, they come stock on the Duke mnt bike(fat bike) and ttheir sweet.

Well a DK from Walmart lasted me more than a Verde from danscomp. Just my $00.02 just because people don't like it doesn't mean it's not good.

When I got hired at my current job, I built every single walmart dk bike we had and not 1 single bike came back. and I have seen some being ridden 2 years later by the same kid, some parts changed, but for the most part, still the same bike. their solid bikes, just got a bad name from the store. So glad to see them leave, but kinda sad i wont get to work on them much anymore ah well

You will they are solid options for the money. Many kids starting out should really take a look at the completes they have.

This. However Mongoose made some decent strides back into mainstream BMX a few years ago with a team going on a Mega Tour (I think haha) and whatnot.

Mongoose has a balance with shop level and dept store stuff.

I think DK will make a solid comeback to around where they were before the Walmart move.

In MirraCo theory, Is not selling DK in Walmart a good thing if you want kids to have a decent first bmx? The thing is, the price equivalent to the DK Cleavland (full chromo frame and forks) is the mirraco Sankt (steel frame and forks) or the Mongoose Mode 360 (also steel frame)
What are they supposed to do now that you cant get a DK of the shelf at walmart? buy a Mirra (no offence, but mirra seems to be going the the wrong direction)?

No you don't sound ignorant at all cro-tec, I checked the specs on my Cleveland before I bought it. And I nearly got a cincinatti or a 540. So glad I didn't. I got mine because the frame was the best they had their. And yeah I knew when I bought it I'd have to change most of the parts eventually. Its a stock bike. But still I wouldn't have spent nearly the same ammoiny of.money on something that wasn't chromoly. I think Mirraco are at the same point dk and mongoose where. Getting into department stores to save themselves from tanking. Mirraco might survive. But with mongooses being the price they are and a older much better known name brand. I don't know how well mirraco will be able to.compet with them. Considering your average walmsrt bike customer is looking at price and not quality. And with the lack of product information on the bike itself in the stores. Unless they do their homework. They will most likely go with a mongoose. Or screw themselves and get something like a Kent or something.



But I'm glad to see dk is at the point where they can get back to bikeshops.

They still sold their stuff at fucking walmart, they're never going to be taken seriously in the bmx community, at least not for a while

As far as high quality BMX products go, their Wal-Mart bikes were absolutely not their best creation - but what can you expect at that price point? All along, they still made high-end stuff. If a bike is good enough for Drew Bezanson or Jamie Bestwick, it's good enough for anyone.

You can buy a Toyota Yaris for $14,000, but that absolutely doesn't make a high-end Lexus any less badass.

toyota and lexus are the same brand essentially. lexus is toyotas high end line. thats why those 2 were used. basically saying dks low end being shitty doesnt mean the high end is
