Hey guys. Im new to posting here and just had a few questions.

1. My son is turning 6 this weekend and really into the freestyle BMX scene as I was growing up. He pretty tall and took him to the shop today to test some bike out. He rode a 21' GT that with the handle bars titled in and a more level seat (not the short upward incline one it come with) he was riding ok. We didnt realize it was a 21' at first so he went to a 20' diamond back and it seemed like it was perfect for what that size would provide.

On Cl I saw a
dk Franklin bike freestyle

I was wondering is this a good brand and the seller told me it is a 18' with 20' tires. I had a feeling this might be a perfect fit for lil man and wondered if I am going the right direction.

I want to get him a bike he can get comfortable with and see if he really wants to get into this seriously or not. I would rather stay away from bikes like

Unless someone could tell me something diffrent.

2. id like to go out riding with my son. I know i wont be going crazy freestyle wise but a few jumps and tricks here and there wont hurt. Thing is Im a bigger guy and all these bikes seems to have such a low center where I can even sit down. At least the ones I tried today. Im 5'10 and 220 lbs..

Is this something where I need to custom build? Do I need to replace handle bars and seats for it to work? Any brands or size information you can suggest? I was looking at something like this

But Id like something with for freestyle abilities... gyro etc.. well thanks and hope its not to much to go through. Im just trying to get him started the best way I know how...

as a start yeah it should be but once he gets better and taller it would be wise to upgrade i've had a bad experience with a dk part but their bikes i've heard some good things about

Last words?
Just have fun on your bike.
