Hi, I'm looking to purchase my first real bmx bike. I was looking for something that would be good for park with full chromoly and a cassette hub. While shopping online I came across these two bikes.

Looking through the specs they seem pretty similar and I'm not really sure which one would be better or if there is a better option out there. My budget is around $500 but I would be willing to pay more if it's worth the upgrade.

the two bikes you listed look good, Wethepeople crisis is also good in that range. Try to find a used custom setup if you can, usually you can get a 1k+ bike for the cheap

Yeah, go with a Wethepeople bike rather than kink. The Wethepeople completes are not only a lot more durable and cooler but they come with better parts and plus I own one.

i say go with used if you know what to look for, but there are more varables like frame size,bb size, casette vs freewheel, etc. i say you pay a little more (60$) you can get yourself a nice we the people with a feecoaster.

I'm looking for my first also. At first I was looking at the Hoffman Bama, now I'm stuck between the kink downside and the wtp crysis. I've seen people say wtp is better and I've seen people say kink is better. I guess it just depends who happens to see your post and on what day you ask.... This is just an assumption I came up with, and I may be wrong. I figure most of the frames and parts for the completes are manufactured in the same chinese/taiwanese factory. So I'd assume whatever you choose in that price range, as long as the parts look comparable, they're probably going to perform very similarly.

Still can't go wrong with the Hoffman Bama. Plus you're supporting the king himself

The Bama seems to have more "old school" or maybe it's park style dimensions. Longer chain stays, less steep head tube angle (74.5) and a longer (9.6) seat tube length. Wouldn't it be a little more difficult to learn some of the street style tricks on a bike like that?

Nope. You can ride anything you want anywhere
