I am a beginner looking at getting into BMX. I want to spend around $350 and have narrowed my choices down to the 2016 Sunday Primer and the 2015 Fit Benny 1. (The Benny 1 is on sale from $399 to $349) I really appreciate anyone's thoughts and opinions on the 2 bikes, or any other bike suggestions.

Thanks.

Fit makes solid completes go with them

The Fit Benny 1 is 27.3 lbs whereas the Sunday Primer is 25.4, is that heavy for a beginner? Or is weight something you worry about more once you get better?

Don't worry about weight, worry about the quality & parts on the bike instead.

That said, get the Fit. More chromoly in the bike (chromoly > hi-tensile steel) and everything's sealed.

If I was a begginer in times today id look for a heavier bike , it helps build muscle and bike control , plus you don't want to end up being some scrawny pussy
