You say you need help with painting but I don't see a question to answer

What's the best way to paint a frame and cranks

Best way to paint:

Step 1: Buy some beer

Step 2: Drink the beer til you'd say you are pretty drunk

Step 3: Get some spray paint

Step 4: Don't worry about sanding, or even taking your bike apart. Just spray and do your best to hit the parts you want painted.

Step 5: Make all your friends jealous with your cool paint job

hah one of my friends got his bike painted this way lol

Basically what you allready said.

take it apart
strip it,
clean it,
prime it,
prime again,
paint it,
paint it again
paint it again if you feel like it,
clearcoat,
clearcoat,
cleatcoat,
I've never used chrome paint so Idk if its any good... you'd probably have to sand between coats of it because its so smooth, clearcoat is probably gonna be hard too cause it tends to run more even if it is on a rough surface, reason being it does't have much solids in it... but yeah...

Don't chrome your bike.... get chrome like paint. Chrome is harmful to the environment bmx isn't worth the life of planet earth!!! Without a planet earth there is no BMX!!!!

OP, you can't paint chrome.
You can get a shiny silver.

Chrome is typically electroplated.

PS there are so many other things that are so much worse for the environment...like tire manufacturing...SOOO many fumes and sooo much smog. Or the battery for your smartphone. Batteries are HORRID to make for the world.

Did you know JUST making the batteries for a Prius is more harmful than a standard v-8 motor would do in a roughly 150 THOUSAND MILE lifetime?



Don't look at my bike check if you are not a fan of chrome.

This. Chrome plating is wicked bad for the environment. And I have a chrome frame, it looks sweet but if there were any other colors available I would've gotten that
