Looking to get my first bike, heard a lot of people say to look on craigslist but I'm more looking for a new one. Would this bike be a good buy considering the price?Photo

I would not get that. You could get a bike that's used and scratched for that price but at least with decent parts. The frame is crap. You want something with at least some chromoly, and integrated head tube. Same with forks, hi-tensil steel is heavier and weaker than chromoly. Same story with the bars. Front wheel isnt sealed which you probably will want.

If you buy this bike and actually ride it you will be replacing parts faster that you will learn tricks.

I would say try to find something on craigslist/ebay/pinkbike, and ever here, people sell good bikes here.

I agree with him. Get something used. You'll get more for your money. What i can say is get sealed parts. Sealed hubs, sealed headset, sealed bottom bracket. Its worth it to pay a little more in the beginning for a nice bike compared to buying a piece of shit and spending lots of money buying sealed parts. Trust me. I went the cheap way out and bought a shit bike. And lots of money later i now have a nice bike

I am looking for 2 entry level bmx racing bikes in the same price range. These are for my 5 and 7 year olds. Each boy is around 50" tall.

What wheel, frame, crank and chainring size should I be looking for?

Search up bmxmuseum on facebook. They will be able to answer your questions better than we will. But if it's any help, I think a bike in the "Mini" size option wouls be good for them, but I would still ask the others guys. Hope that helps any.
