i have a tire that inflates to "about a 2.3" which i got told by the company i got it from which is really annoying that they didn't tell me how big it is exactly, but i want some fit faf tires 2.25 and they inflate to 2.36 which is good but i have about half a centimeter clearance on the sides and about the same on the top, would a 2.36 most likely fit? (i cant just try the tires first because i would order them online)

A little math tells me an inch is 2.54 cm. So if you have around a cm clearance on both sides, adding .06 of an inch total would be fine, it would be 0.1524cm, which is less than a 5th of a cm.

Keep in mind rim width factors in how wide the tires can inflate to as well.
