Who have rode them or have them? What are they mean for? A guy offered me some big ballers in a trade. I mostly ride tech park and street . I like to do big ass 180 to flat . Will they hold up without truing every week?

I've rode rhynolites, not the xl, and currently big ballers. Tough as hell and the eyeletted spoke holes help hold the spokes nice and tight. Never had to true them except when i laced them up.

This guy runs Sun Rims. They are super good and very underrated.

Im running Sun Big Citys right now, heavy but they take so much abuse.

trust in Sun. Sun rims are like the holy grail of rims. i've run Rhino Lites, Rhino Lite XLs, Estates, 4plays, and Big City Lites, and every single one held up to everything i threw at it, even the ones with pinned joints. my favorite was the welded Big City Lite, which held up for 5 seasons (including winter riding) before the chrome even started peeling, and i got it used to begin with. and i very rarely had to true them.

Yes Sun over gsport. IMO Sun has been around longer than gsport. I still have a sun rhino that was made in good ol USA.

So it's settled. Get Sun! Lol btw, your Ribcages are some of the strongest rims available and twice the price of the Suns. Not sure what they'd sell for but maybe try and sell them to build you a new set with what you want.

I wish i had gotten a sun instead of my ribcage. Woulda saved $50 and probably wouldn't have snapped like my first ribcage.

Only issue I ever had with Sun rims were small cracks around a couple of the nipple holes in my Rhynolite XL from the spokes being too tight, but obviously that was my fault. Other than that, no issues with that rim and just remembered I got a Rhynolite XL in the rear for my first aftermarket wheel, beat the piss out of it and while the wheel bent from never being trued/spokes never tightened, the rim itself was still straight.
I'd still personally choose G-Sports over Sun any day though but that's just me.

Sun will be my next choice. My brand new Birdcage is denting up nicely and making it clear that it wont last too too long haha
