....They've been out for over 2 years now.

I had them, didn't really care for them much honestly. They were really beefy and all but I rode them for a few months short of 2 years and they're still being ridden by the person I sold them to with no issues aside from the "wobble" 48 spline cranks are prone to getting. Aside from that, the only problem I ever had was I snapped one of the crank bolts while tightening it.

I'm riding Odyssey Thunderbolt cranks now & like them more than I liked the Animals though.

I have $90 redline flights. Full chromo, heat treated. You can probably get them on the redline website. They're like six or eight spline but they are nice. It's what I have and I could recommend them. Odyssey or animal would be better probably, but these things are superb for the cost. I'd look into stolen team cranks too.
