It's come time for young Will Stock to start trying brarspins and you know what that means...

I want to try to make this post short and sweet so here it goes:
Basically, I am having three problems
1.) I take my right foot off (I am left foot forward) when I try to throw the bars.
2.) I don't throw my bars hard enough. When I try to throw them harder, I just can't keep control of my bike.
3.) I can't seem to hop high enough while keeping my knees back. I can hop decently high (high enough to do a full barspin, no doubt.) normally, but everything changes when I try to keep my knees back and straight.

Someone please help. I dislike trying this trick over and over but I want to get it. I've been trying them for less than a week but I want to make sure I break these bad habits as early as possible.

have you tried the indoor bike? It worked wonders for me and it also helps build confidence for when you go on the real bike

Not someone to really give advice but from speculation I can say, do you hop and straighten mid air or straighten and hop?

Those still feel so awkward for me and I always hesitate at least 2-3 full seconds before trying them. I used to get them consistently, but now I occasionally hit my knee and all sorts of mishaps.. It's gonna be FOREVER before I actually try them for real.

1. tape your foot on
2. dont try to hop too much but dont do a really tiny hop either
3. throw hard, practice moving your hand either way along the grip til you find a place u like to throw from, i throw mine half on the grip and half on the bars, jsut where feels good for me
4. catch with 1 hand when the bars are at about 270
5. put your other hand on before or just as your landing
6. roll away a champ.
7. congrats your bars look better than maximusbikes

Sounds like youre not ready to learn bars lol.
Learn x-ups and t-bogs first. Give you some what of a feel for it. No handers are important to know aswell so you learn to better control your bike in the air without your hands. No handed claps above the crossbar will somewhat simulate the motion of throwing the bars.

Manual barspin first. Flyout too.

Then hop and level the bike out, and throw as you level out.

The problem I have is pinching the seat. My seat is fat and about 2-3" off the top of the seat tube, but I still can't seem to pinch it. When I do, I get hung up on the bars (doesn't make much sense because my bars are small af).

ok. for throwing faster, you dont particularly have to throw harder. What I do is put one finger inside the grip on the bar and it makes it a shorter rotation. Trust me this helps a ton. And for your other problems, to keep the foot on, pinch your cranks, and lean over the stem. if you lean over the stem alot it makes such a huge difference! an if you want you can throw 90 bars because its also less of a rotation and easier. lastly, do them in the grass and wear shinguards and helmet for a little bit of extra confidence. hope this helps

I actually feel as if the indoor bike made things worse. I may never have children because of it actually. Curtis explained it up there.
