New frame, new paint.

Well, for a very short amount of time, I was rockin' the teal Kink Curb in my profile, but I ended up getting another frame on the dirty cheap, something a little bigger top tube to fit more comfortably, and it was it pretty harsh shape, so I stripped it, sanded it, prepped it, and did a whole shit ton of painting and I got my final result, and I'm pretty impressed, and decided to show it off. It's a Fit PRK 3 frame, a little on the older side, but the way I figure, if it was close to a $600 bike 3 years ago, then it beats my Kink which was a $250 bike 2 years ago. Plus, it's the right size, and it's a Fit :D. Anyways, on with the pictures.

When I got it.

After the stripping, sanding and base coat.

After the color went on, was just about there, needed some fine tuning.

Bars and forks painted too. Now I'm just waiting for my crank to get here and then it'll be all together.

Thoughts?

not bad and just because its older doesn't mean its bad im riding a 2010 failure grade 2 frame and I like it better than my 2012 fit I had.

Thanks guys, I'm pretty much just piecing it together right now, I haven't ridden BMX in a really long time, but so as long as I can keep my ribs off of the pavement for a little while I think there is some fun to be had. I'm just getting what I can afford right now, and if I stick with it, I'll upgrade things as I go.

Sick ass paint job. My dad threw my bike because it was "in the way" and now there's a fat scratch on it, and I mean FATTT. I'm going to respray mine soon.

Thanks man! Most of the parts are stock for now, as I mentioned I'm not trying to dump tons of money into it yet if I don't know that I'll be riding a lot. Cause anyone who knows bikes knows that the resale value on them is for shit! But, I've got the 2010 Fit PRK3 (I think it's the PRK, either that or TRL 'cause it's stamped PRK3 TRL3 on the bb), mostly mission components (stem, seat clamp), Stolen Thermalite post, Eclat seat, Kink Volte bars and fork, Fly headset, soon to have either a Kink or Animal bb, with a Stolen Mob crank, Nitrous front wheel, and a Alienation rear wheel laced to a Mission hub. It's a solid frame with beginner components, which I'm fine with, if I break shit, I'll just upgrade it then!

Damn, you should probably throw your dad at the next opportunity to do so! If anyone threw either of my bikes (or most of my possessions for that matter), there would be a storm too thick to see through over their head. My other bike is a '05 Santa Cruz Blur full suspension 26" mountain bike, that's really my pride and joy, I built it over the winter this past year, and have about $1400-1500 into it. It's a total frankenstein, it's fitted with DJ bars, short stem, 1x9 gearing, hydraulic disc brakes, marzocchi and fox suspension, and fat as possible tires (Maxxis Holy Rollers 2.35s), 'cause I love me a cushy ride, haha.

I got them for 25 bucks, so even though one side of one pedal has some damage from grinding, I still feel like he cut me a pretty damn good deal, they still spin nice, and I had to replace maybe 7-10 pins total. They're super light too, and I didn't have to pay the regular $100 for them.

It was more of a push than a throw but yeah it totally pissed me off because I have a sick ass sticker that is no longer made on there and now it's scratched up and terrible looking :/
I have a Kona Stuff as well, my other pride and joy

Oh nice man, Konas are sick bikes, that's like the Stinky but not full suspension, and I also love that cream color Kona used a lot. But now I gotta throw up a picture of my bike, haha.

Minty fresh that's sick! I'm hoping to sell my Kona for a full suspension so I can hit up a sick mtb park nearby without taking a beating.

Alright guys, it's all done for the time being, I may get a new stem to throw on it, but right now I'm just loving the way it turned out, I was gonna have the frame raw, and I didn't even think about doing raw components instead, so I got my cranks yesterday, stripped them and left them. Once again, how about some opinions on the crimson king hahaha.Photo

I would get black forks and a silver stem but either way that bike is gorgeous.
