Hey there! I am new to this forum and to BMX. I want some help on which bike to choose from the list below. If you have other suggestions feel free to write them wink I am 14 yrs old and 5' 3" tall. I can only pay a maximum of around 400$ or 350 euros. I want to be able to do tricks and ride it on the street or park.
The bikes I am interested in are:
2012 Verde Spectrum: https://www.danscomp.com/saleproducts-BIKES/102043/2012_Verde_Spectrum_Bike.html
2013 Kink Barrier: https://www.danscomp.com/saleproducts-BIKES/102160/2013_Kink_Barrier_Bike.html
Fit Bikes VH 1: http://fitbikeco.com/bikes-2015/vh-1/?color2
Eastern Traildigger: http://easternbikes.com/bikes/traildigger/
And these 3 Diamondback bikes (in comparison): http://www.vitalbmx.com/product/compare/6044-6916-3137

Q1: Can I install pegs in a bike which does not include pegs?
Q2: do I need a detangler for these bikes? if yes is it possible to install one myself?

Thanks in advance.
All buying/riding tips are welcome smile

1. you can install pegs on any bike..... I think. It depends on the axle size. 10mm/3/8in or 14mm pegs come in both sizes.
2. the detangler / brake gyro needs holes in the headtube like the kink barrier. I dont know anything about drilling the holes yourself pinch
I say don't get the eastern or the diamondback sideways
I know nothing about the others though..

The verde and kink are older models and not available on dans comp any more.

The Fit and eastern yes, you can install pegs on them.
Yes l, you can install a detangler.

I didn't look at the diamondbacks.
do you need pegs and a detangler? Not really no. It's personal preference.
Get them if you want em.

I personally would keep hunting for a bike with a complete Crmo frame. Stick with 2015 models so you know they're availble. The fit and eastern are not full cromo frames.

If your new to BMX, don't install parts yourself ( get help from someone who knows how to do it ) I won't say go to a bike shop I couldn't when i was 14. I did however find older, friendly riders to help me learn (in person.. Not online) how to install parts correctly without trashing my stuff.

I know that these two models are not available on Dan's Comp but I think Albe's can do special orders and order the bike you ask for (if it is not available in the shop). But I am not sure. If it's true, maybe I can order the Kink or the Verde bike this way.

The Colony Inception BMX is a bit too expensive for me, I also want to save money for better parts in the future.

And what do you guys think about the Diamondback bikes I posted? They all seem ok to me.

I posted a link to the bike I felt was a good example for you. That colony is designed for shorter riders. Your 5'3" that it a perfect size for you. But you will grow out of it. I looked at the dk that albes bmx store posted too and well he's right that's sold bike as well. it's kind of big for you (right now) I ride a 21" top tube with 8.75" bars. but you might grow into it.

I'd tell albes bmx to give you a deal on the colony if your whole family is short... If your family is tall I'd go with the DK he linked.

There is no reason for me to give you input on a bike you found on vital bmx. If you can find a link on the diamondbacks on a store website. I will absolutley say something about it, why get your hopes up if you can't figure out where to buy it, OR if they don't even make anymore.

Gotta agree with this guy

That dk looks really nice, and has all crmo frame and forks bars, you won't get much better for the price, unless you buy used...

Well, I gotta agree. It is truly a wonderful BMX. I'll keep this one in mind.

Well if you had to choose between the 2014 DK Helio and the 2013 Kink Barrier, what would it be?
