Hey guys, I broke th axle on my freecoaster and now I have to ride my cassette until I get the free coaster fixed. The cassette I ride is the odyssey v3 cassette. When I went to take it apart to re grease it the driver is stuck in the hub. I remove the cone nut and usually the driver just pulls straight out. It only will pull out about a quarter of the way so I can just see the first set of pawls. It than gets stuck and won't pull out any further. Does anybody know why this is and a way to possibly fix this. Thanks

Probably just the bearings being stiff on the axle. Have you tried lever it out with anything?

Rotate it as you pull it, sometimes the pawls stick a little and that helps.

Ok I still can't remove the driver from the axle. I pulled the entire axle out and the driver is somehow stuck on the axle itself. I tried holding the driver and hammering the axle out of the driver but it won't budge.

Why can't you put the axle in from the non-drive side, until the raised part of the axle is on the inside bearing of the driver, and just hammer that? I'm sure that'd pop it out before it pushed both bearings out of the driver! I'd also take a chain-whip, wrap it around the driver's teeth, and use it to kind of 'wiggle it around' to get it out, I mean I'd want to spray pb blaster in there but then it'll get in the bearing behind the pawls' track :/

Good luck and please update! I've been having similar issues, in fact I may have the same hub (I keep calling it a 'vandero lhd odyssey hub' as that's what I was told when buying it, but everyone tells me that's not what it is!)
