Considering building a trails bike since my super tech machine is finally finished and I still want to buy more bike parts. It probably wont be for a while, but im just day dreaming and making a wish list for now. Basically I want the most stable, comfortable, ideal trails bike. Decently low rotational weight, near instant engagement hub, big bars, 22mm bossless cranks, shemale rear axle, female front, etc. etc. are a MUST.

Things not included on this list this because dans doesn't have them in stock / not sure yet...
Èclat front hub
Odyssey Trailmixes (Dugans?) Maybe new Tree pedals
34r Bearingless Bottom Bracket
Èclat Torch15/Tree Ergo IF I dont go tripod
Odyssey Aitken K-lytes 2.10
Butted spokes, alloy nipples
FBM Steadfast 21.5"***

You're gonna want more rotational weight for a trail-specific bike. It makes your bike feel way more stable in the air. IMO, the most trailsy bike would go something like this:

Frame: S&M Credence CCR 21.5"

Steering:
Headset: FSA Impact Integrated
Fork: Odyssey R32
Stem: S&M Credence Turtleneck
Handlebars: Tree Moto 8.5" (Big bars on trails isn't a good thing in my opinion, makes the bike too twitchy)
Grips: ODI Longneck
Bar Ends: Tree Threaded

Drivetrain:
Bottom Bracket: Profile 19mm Mid
Cranks: Profile GDH Bossless 180mm (19mm cranks are fine for a trail-specific bike)
Sprocket: Tree Lite Spline Drive 36T (Bigger gearing is smoother, and acceleration feels a bit better to me)
Pedals: Odyssey Trailmix Sealed
Chain: Odyssey Keychain Hollow

Seating:
Seat: Backbone Railed (Or any other railed seat you can find)
Seat Post: Thomson Elite Railed
Seat Clamp: Integrated

Front Wheel:
Hub: Profile Elite 3/8"
Spokes: DT Swiss Champion
Rim: G-Sport Ribcage
Tire: Odyssey Aitken Knobby 2.35"

Rear Wheel:
Hub: Profile Elite 3/8" 12T
Spokes: DT Swiss Champion
Rim: G-Sport Ribcage
Tire: Odyssey Aitken Street 2.10"

Braking:
Brake Lever: Dia Compe Tech 77
Brake Cable: Tree SB Power
Brake Pads: Kool Stop BMX
Brake: Kink Desist

Smooth, fast, stable, and has a super trailsy vibe to it, which to me, is one of the most important things when building a trail-specific bike.

Frame: Indust Spacetime, or 22" S&M ATF
Forks: 22" S&M Pitchforks
Rims: 22" Revenge ARC
Tires: 22" S&M Mainline 2.4"/2.1"

Bigger wheels are faster, smoother, and more stable.

This is also an option from Indust.

There's someone on Vital that's always complaining there's no money in bmx. Can't recall who.

That sounds like a pretty mediocre trail build. Frame is good. Bars are shit. Rims are shit. Spokes are shit. Having a bit more rotational weight in the wheels helps the bike feel a lot more stable in the air when roasting huge doubles. And tall bars? That's not very trails. Look at all the dudes who are pure trail riders. You won't see anything over 8.75ish. Definatly not 9.5"

Im in no means rich, Im jobless and spend every penny I make from occasional labor/birthday/Christmas on my bike. Just want to start up a new build to dish that money into since my bike doesn't need anymore money spent into it. If I go through with this idea it will be 2-3 years in the making (probably alot less because I hope to get a job very soon, but I need to buy a car and pay for insurance first, spare money will go towards this build.) Im not just gonna whip out $2,000 and order me a new bike.

Anyway thanks for the advice guys, I thought big bars was most stable and super light rotational weight was best for hucking over trails. I think im going to keep light rims but ditch folding tires and butted spokes.
