Who else remembers this how short lived this was? I never got to buy a set but realistically does bmx even need grind wax? I think our pegs can get away with just candles.

I'm no peg guy, but I can confirm that, in certain scenarios, wax is much needed, whether it's a cheap candle or not.

I buy candles for ledges and rails, works great for steel or plastic pegs! Gotta buy the hard wax candles. If you can push the wax in with your fingers, its not good.

yall wax wrong (whole bunch of idiots who couldnt pour water out of a boot if the instructions were written on the heel) you need to wax the ledge the night/day/week before to let that shit soak in. Before you leave a spot if its getting dark wax the shit out of it if its not already caked. DUH

Grinding waxed ledges if you're using pegs feels a lot smoother, however I wouldn't DARE grind plastic pegs on an unwaxed ledge (then again I'm not a quiet person to begin with so it's not like I need them for stealth or anything). You don't really need wax on a surface that's freshly painted, but then again you probably don't need to be grinding on something that was just painted so yeah.
