Alright guys and gals,

My mom just went for her yearly mammogram and something doesn't look right on it. She is awaiting further details, but the good news is she caught whatever it is EARLY. IF it happens to be cancerous (which I believe in God that it won't be), it's fairly small and will be easy to remove. Her mom, my grandma, fought breast cancer and won due to early detection. Breast cancer awareness and early detection are ESSENTIAL to winning the fight.

In light of these recent events, I bought a full set of pink spokes for my bike in support of those who have fought or still are fighting this terrible disease. That got me thinking...

I want YOU to get out there and support breast cancer awareness / research!

Therefore, I am sponsoring a contest where you show off your support by going PINK! I wanna see pink tires, brake cables, rims, etc. I DON'T CARE! Just grab some pink paint, stickers, streamers, duct tape (or pink parts if you're lucky enough) and create something that even big, perky ta-ta's can't compete with (not going to happen)! But there is a catch...

You have to take this bike to a legitimate EVENT for breast cancer awareness / research AND PARTICIPATE (if that means they let you ride your bike during a walk, TOTALLY DO IT!). You can even LEAD YOUR OWN EVENT! Just clear it with me first. You must take a picture of yourself, the bike, and your screen name at the event (see rules below). Having a survivor pose with you would be awesome!

So go to Wal-mart, Target, etc. and grab everything pink and PINKalize Yo Bike!

RULES:

All contestants must have registered (by posting their intent to participate here) by 12:00 A.M. PST October 1st, 2013

There will be no pornographic or otherwise obscene representations on the bike or in submitted pictures.

Contestants MUST participate in at least ONE legitimate breast cancer awareness/research event (e.g. Susan G. Komen, Save the Ta-Ta's, etc). If you are unsure whether your event is considered legitimate, please ask here and I and the moderators will decide.

Participation includes, but is not limited to, walking (biking if allowed) in a fundraiser walk, setup and tear down for the event, leading an awareness day at your school or work, or leading an organized local bike ride to promote awareness.

Contestants must provide proof of participation with at least ONE photo of THEMSELVES at the event with their BIKE and a sign with their SCREEN NAME. Multiple photos are allowed.

The deadline for photo / bike entries is 12:00 A.M. November 1st, 2013.

The winner will be decided by vote during November 1st - 15th, 2013. In the case of a tie, the winner will be selected by myself and the moderators.

The prize will be based on the amount of participants:

$ 25 Visa Gift Card if total participants > 5
$ 50 Visa Gift Card if total participants > 10
$100 Visa Gift Card if total participants > 25

Note: Members who have joined after June 31st, 2013 do not count towards the total amount of participants. They can participate in the contest, but do not count so that sub accounts are not created to boost the prize given.

In other words, ONLY ONE entry per CONTESTANT! If you happen to have more than one bike to enter and want to enter them, you must have SOMEONE ELSE enter the extra bike. This is to promote participation and equality among contestants.

Rules are subject to change if I or the moderators see fit.

HAVE FUN!!!

I know a few cures for cancer one of them is where you use baking soda and sugar, also there is this

?feature=player_detailpage

the thing is cancer is a fungus that the government created

i know ill probably get shitted on for this but im posting this because its the truth and im tired of seeing and hearing about people dying because doctors always want to nuke people witch isn't the answer

she needs to get a vitamix and start downing greens make the bob beck bracket and do the baking soda treatment all of this stuff is legit and has saved many lifes

also if you can get your hands on pure hemp oil this will cure cancer as well but it must be made correctly and still have the THC in it because that is one of the main things that fights cancer

@bmxsteve99 - Thanks bro!

@bloghogs - Cool beans! I'm excited!

@hmuifulikefriedchicken - Haha thanks... My sarcasm gets me in trouble lol. It's VERY hard to be sarcastic on the net and not get taken the wrong way; plus, I don't take being cussed at very well. I don't do it to others; I don't want others thinking it's ok to do either. Anyhow, in person, I make everyone die laughing with Comedy Central type of sarcastic humor. As far as my earlier posts, I grew up a troubled kid. Just needed to move out and get away from my step dad. I feel so much happier now that I'm gone. Plus, my bike STAYS IN MY APARTMENT! Not in a rusty shed where my other ones rotted.

@OneEyeIlluminatiGuy - I have actually heard of half of those methods. I can't say I agree on the fungus because I have a few moles and whatnot that I have to watch that definitely are not a fungus. But I will say you are right on the greens. They do help! But my mom is a strong God-fearing woman who will probably wear holes in the carpet beside her bed from praying before she starts eating vegetables! In all seriousness though, I have gotten her to eat more healthy foods. Thanks for the support bro!

They will most likely happen in October. You're in NC (my home state)so I know there will be tons around you.

Just did a search on Google. Charlotte, Monroe, and the Triangle all had walks last October.

Just keep on the lookout or you can even start your own. For instance, a legitimate breast cancer awareness event would be leading a breast cancer awareness day at your school or work. Encourage women (even teens) to get checked. My mom had her first occurrence in her late teens. Remember... early detection

EDIT: Original post reworded to reflect what I just told you

Damnit. I thought you were a douche as well, but you're changing my mind as well. Keep us posted about your mom. I got out of the Navy when prayer led me to believe she wouldn't last another enlistment. She lasted just over two after my eaos. You guys are in my prayers man.

Thanks for the prayers man! I have a flight mate who came from the Navy, but he was on shore duty usually.

It's sort of this rubbery textured paint stuff. It comes in cans, and you spray it on and it'll stay on pretty well, but it will peel of easily when you get bored of the finish.

@vinkreepo, if you live in a medical state, ask your mom to consult her doctor about medical marijuana

i was really skeptical about its usefulness in cancer cases until my uncle was diagnosed with brain and lung cancer
the doctor said he had had 6 months max left
after 6 months, he was 100 pounds (lost 40 pounds, he ran marathons, very active guy) and severely underweight, his girlfriend told him to ask about medical marijuana (we live in cali) and he got a license after having cancer for a year and goes to the most tightly controlled ( and recommended by doctors) shop in san francisco and gets small doses to be taken with food, and higher doses to help him sleep during chemo

he has since returned to his original weight, and runs everyday, and the cancer is in remission
i believe the weed helped him power through his illness, as if he hadn't gotten to a more healthy weight, he would have likely died
I am praying for your mother, and i am trying to figure out what to do for this contest, great idea!

Thanks Steve but my mother would NEVER do that lol. Still, thanks for the support bro.

We need more participants! Post this to FB, pay kids to yell it in Wal-mart, do whatever (legally lol) it takes to get people involved!
