Hey well i'm painting my frame and forks Matte black and i finished my forks last night with 4 coats of matte and it came up great. But i'm wondering if i should use Clear coat and if i am to will it take away the affect?

im just running 4 coats of my matte black for now. Should be good in the meantime right?

the matte clearcoat is so that the color stays matte.... if you use a gloss clearcoat the color is be a little bit more glossy. Thats really the only difference.

Awwww okay and yeah i wanted to keep the matte look so ill try and find the matte clear coat

Make sure for the matte clearcoat, you put it on a bit thicker. Otherwise if you leave it with little blotches of spray, it'll dry that way and it's happened to me many a times, but it still gives me a chance to give another extra coat of clear coat. The more clear coat, all the better!
