I am going to replace a few parts hopefully today, pegs, pedals, and grips

So, I am considering the BSD Safari Pedals, I know that they'd grip really well due to I think 20 or more pins on each side. But do they wear down easy? I don't do pedal grinds, the only time my pedal will hit the face of a ledge or rail is if I crank down on a feeble or double peg on accident or something. Also do they chip apart or get torn up fairly easy when you bail off your bike? The whole chipping apart thing I am not really worried about, but just curious to know. One more thing... Have any of you on here, or have any of you heard of people snapping one of the pedal bodies? This I am DEFINITELY not worried about, the last pedal body I only CRACKED was a Black Label Graduate PC Pedal Body (pretty solid pedal too, never officially snapped)

For pegs, there is nothing much to ask on this, but does a flat colored peg (like the Cult Butter for example, not a glossy black sleeve) slide better or worse in general than a peg with a glossy sleeve? (like a colony anyway pc peg, or a deco action bar?)

For grips, again, not much to ask, but I figure there's some effect, can a thicker grip affect your bike control after riding a thinner grip and vice versa? I am considering these different grips and cannot choose, my bars can really only fit up to 155mm I guess, because my Shadow Chula's (148mm) are fairly close to the bend at 28.5 wide
(I do understand thicker grips help with drops but I do not do them TOO often)
Thin Grips
-BSD Dan Paley Slims (I do not mind trimming one end of the grips to accommodate my grip length situation)
-Shadow 138's
-Volume Team Grips (These would probably just go past the start of the bend but I can get used to it)
Thick Grips
-Odyssey Griswald's (on sale)
-Odyssey Dugan's (Many people on here rave about them I guess so why not)
-Demolition Axes

Thank you guys a lot for taking the time to read through, I really appreciate it, I know I usually make long or long-ish posts, but I'd rather be fairly detailed I guess.

First off, I'd say the Safari pedals are a good bet. But they seem to be the same compound as most other pedals. Give em a shot! I'm interested in them so maybe that will be my next choice.

Odyssey Dugans or invest in a self abortion for yourself and vote for Donald Trump. /thread

I went full BSD last month and bought the Donnasqueaks, paley slims, safaris and a shirt.
Safaris: Theses pedals will not dissapoint, super grippy and durable. There are many reviews out there if you wanna go in depth.
Slims: First slim grips I've tried and I like them. The slimness makes me feel more in control because I can wrap my hand around the bars more. The pattern is good and super soft.
Donnasqueaks (2.4's): They feel kinda heavy and are really fat (barely fits my frame). Performs great, grippy and fast rolling.

Yeah, I am riding the 2.4 Grey Tread Donnasqueaks right now. And I guess I'll try the Paley Slims in Grey as well, As for Safari Pedals, looks like I am getting a set.

Still no answer on pegs tho...

to my knowledge, a smooth peg will perform almost identical to a rougher one
as soon as you get one grind, that gloss comes off and they become equally rough
however, the compound might be better, but a smooth peg could have really shitty compound or a rough could have good, or vice versa

i recommend cult butters, 2 length choices, good sleeve, chromo inner and reasonably thin (not anywhere as fat as a butcher for example) plus they come with a spare sleeve, so if you get 4, you have 4 spare sleeves and since front pegs take a lot less damage, you basically get 4 for each back peg

UPDATE

Bought Grey BSD Safari Pedals.

Special ordered Grey BSD Forever Grips in Grey instead of Paley Slims, 2 Cult Butter Pegs, and an S-1 Lifer Helmet from Stacked BMX Shop here in Riverside CA

I went through Stacked because because it's not even 20 minutes away from where I am staying by car.

I am already on brand new Safari's, But I've rode Mac PC's and they were nice too, they have a decent platform but I wanted more pins. Metal is usually stronger but I'm not up to it.
