Pedal grinds on metal pedals?

So i do a lot of pedal grinds. I have jcpcs currently and find myself replacing the grind side often. The task of replacing is annoying. I am thinking of trying metal pedals, specifically aluminum, but i am not sure how they will grind compared to my jcpcs. Obviously rough concrete will be a problem but what about smooth waxed skatepark ledges? Not looking for speculation, only opinions based on experience. thanks.

also, i am considering the unsealed mac pedals or the unsealed trailmixes.

thats what google has led me to believe but finding magnesium pedals is hard nowadays. even the welgo pedals switched to aluminum.

Look for magnesium trailmixes. Theyre usually not too hard to find.

metal takes a bit of getting used to on pedal grinds but it does work. I ride metal hamiltons and have no issues other than rough ledges obviously

Put your pegs back on and go back to doing only feebles. Then we can finally film your feeble feeble feeble feeble feeble feeble feeble line at Trailwinds.

That's just about it then. Closest you can get to having medal- grip with the sliding of plastic. The JCPC is your best bet unless you want to run full metal and that's not the best idea for grinds.

I do lots of pedal grinds and I've tried every type of pedal and I'm back to simple plastic pedals.

One of the guys who rides for our shop also does a lot of pedal grinds and he's using regular plastic pedals as well.

If you get metal pedals they will last longer, but you'll eventually grind through them anyways and they don't slide nearly as well as plastic. They definitely work and will slide a little better once you've worn them in but may as well get what slides well and just replace them when you have to.

I don't have an issue with grip on regular plastics or my jcpc's. I was just curious how metal slides cus I'm tired of taking apart my jcpc's. trey Jones makes it look like ky jelly.

I've seen somebody with a grind plate welded to the underside of some super old Odyssey pedals. looked so badass. it even looked clean like they came that way.
