The classic peg length is 4" you can easily find some 4.5" but not more.

Honestly, just get some pegs and go grind.

I can understand the advantages of longer pegs, I even have personally got some (4.5" rear / 4.25" if that matters), because one of my favorite street spots for grinding have some really rounded edges, so that was easy to slip off while doing fast feebles, longer pegs are cool for crooked grinds too, also I like them to put my feet on a do flatland stuffs.

So longer pegs have the few advantages I listed, but this is clearly not necessary to make custom 5" pegs, get some 4.5's and you'll be happy.

pegs are the easiest thing to make just get solid cromo cut to length and a big drill bit and drill it out while spraying oil

I feel like everything's getting bigger now. Tire width, bar heights, peg lengths... Honestly, are they really necessary?

I felt a diffeence from going to a 4' peg to a 4.5' peg. They're easier to hold onto grinds imo. Spins out of grinds feel better too

I started with 4.5 and they help for sure . Riding a friends bike with 4" and I couldn't grind for shit haha , kept having my peg fall off

*boring bar

drill bits for metal dont go that big and the friction/heat/wear from 4130 will kill a wood bit in seconds
plus a drill bit wont leave a flat inside edge for the axle nut to get a tight grip on

5 inch pegs is an awesone idea, definitely should make them compatible with some pc peg sleeves and there you go pegs that slide good and since they extra long peg chinks all day

If you can find a set of the demolition team pegs from 2 or 3 years ago they are longer than most. I still have a pair and do find I can lock in easier with them.
Also watch small local bike shops for old primo pegs as well.
