Pre-Order Thoughts

I recently got myself a job. If anyone knows , there's currently a strike happening in my province (Pretty sure it's all of BC) so since my mom works at my school , her pay has been decreased by 10% and hours taken away. Also , since the strict is now on full , she technically looses any school board experience , and is unable to apply for EI since she cant work at a school during summer. So I plan to order and just blow my first paycheck then 50% of my other pay checks ould be to help out. So I figured I'd make it decent. Thoughts?

Odyssey Q2 front wheel. The Quartlet hub seems chill and since I recently got a whole back wheel , and new front one would be good. It's not a must , but my front wheel currently is an Ezra hub laced to an alienation. It's untrue as fuck and most likely warped. The Q2 would be good as the hub is great and besides people not liking the Quadrant rim , I enjoy them. I run it in the back , so matching rims would be nice , kinda picky about that. All black too , instead of my current gold hub.

Tree Sprocket , 28t black. I run an orange Colony Offical sprocket and the colour is a throw off and I'm not feeling the 25/9 gearing. It might be weird with a freecoaster and a 28t but I'd like some more resistance and being able to pedal at faster speeds. I know Tree sprockets are one of the best. The black would suit my upcoming bikecheck . Oh it'd be spline drive ! Fuck bolt ons , mine is always loose and I just like the cleaner look.

Lastly , the Odyssey Keychain chain (Hollow pins). I used to not like it but I kept thinking of the bluebird chain , and I didnt get the deal until I started looking at chains more. It's not needed , but I feel as if it'd be a great investment for my bike. I've never snapped a chain but my current one seems pretty sketchy and it's been used for almost 2 seasons now , I have bad knees and if it snaps and I hit my knees , I'm fucked. With a tree sprocket , it'd be good for even wear. I dig the concept , and I want something strong .

Kinda long thread so my bad , just wanting to get some thoughts. It'd be my last upgrade probaly until past christmas , so next year lol. Wanting to put everything together at once so my bike is completely dialed !

Go for it, BUT keep your old wheels and true em up as spares for you or your homies.

Sounds like you don't really need any of it. I mean, it's your money so do what you want, but you could wait a while and get a nicer wheel.

I'm not perticulary hard on front wheels but with my sloppy ass spinning the rims get untrue alot. It's true , I don't NEED it , but in summer is when I really go ham , and I want reliable parts and a solid build. I mean , I worked for my money , so if I do buy it it's coming from my work at least. I dig the sprocket and chain , the wheel isn't a must , but I like the fact of buying a whole wheel and I'm not willing to pay for my ultimate Profile mini laced to a Gsport ribcage wheel , that's too much lol

Eh. Id just wait till you can afford nicer stuff. If you messed up an Alienation (im just going to guess Black Sheep?) then I doubt the quadrant will hold up any nicer. Its really not that great of a rim. If I were you, I would save up and get a welded&female front wheel and get a matching rear rim to lace up to your coaster

Tree sprockets and Odyssey Keychains are shit. Jkjkjkjk.

Tree has a good amount of sprockets on sale on their web store, $30-40. May be worth checking out.

Dunno about it.
I know you like Quadrants, but they are pinned... So many better choices are available there.
The Keychain... It was good. For the two days it worked for me. Lol. Odds are it was just the one in the batch, but the back of the master plate somehow became stripped after one of the pins threw itself out. Shit happens. Lol. Hopefully in about a month when I see the replacement links, everything will go smooth. Kinda disappointed. But not surprised.
Tree rules. Best sprockets on the market. Hands down.
Good luck.
