Decided to get back into biking... I'm sure this thread gets made every other week so I apologize in advance, if so just link me to the correct thread...

Need to know which Bike Brands are currently on top in the current market before I buy a shitty bike. Anyone?

So far I know these are in the top 5 somewhat;
Fit
Cult
Sunday
Stolen
Subrosa

which one of those would I be better off going for? budget is about 5-700 bucks, just don't want to spend all that much on a bike, I'll spend more in the future if the situation is right but for now that's my price range.

Thanks

Thank you, Fit, any specific model that people have raved over? Not for hype but actual quality.

The siganture series are the best, and are around 669 or so.

If you're gonna ride street then the Benny sig is where it's at. What exactly do you ride? Also how tall are you?

I would mark Stolen off that list and put WeThePeople on there. The Signature level from Fit are good, but you would do just fine with a Fit Mac 3 or VH 3 and safe a little money.

From WTP you might look into the Trust, Crysis, or Versus

You could also shoot for a nice used frame and build it up. A lot of good frames for sale on here and good deals. Actually wished I would have been on here a while before I got back into it, I could have found a better deal on a nicer frame if I had. As far as brands go, just make sure to look at the actual specs of the bike. Almost all of the companies you listed make completes that are geared towards the more experienced (or in some cases just those who have more bank) and also to those who don't have as much to spend.

That doesn't sound too bad - is your frame full chromoly? Or are you just wanting to update to something newer? I do know what you mean about getting back into riding - I stopped back in 2006, and it seems like everything has changed. I remember huge dropouts, rediculous frame gussets, triple wall rims, heck back then we even used seat post clamps lol. I like the new stuff though, and the prices for what you are getting are awesome.

Pretty much just pick any Fit that looks cooler to you, because they're all badass. I'd suggest the Fit WiFi bike, but it's 900 dollars.

If you wanted to match up your wheelset, you could add the Rant S20 (black) for an extra $79.99, bringing the total to $605 before shipping.

You're looking at completes and you're worried about an aftermarket frame snapping?

It's an honest question.
