Anyone know if the slack is adjustable and if not how much slack does it come with.

I think the Primo Freemix works like this one.

Unless the axle has a built in hard stop for the clutch, the slack is adjustable.

The slack is not adjustable , that was a big key point of their coaster for a selling point , they wanted no slack adjustment so it would require less maintnence and I'm guessing so dumb kids wouldn't go taking it apart and fuck it up putting it back together and send it back to them saying it was defective

Looks pretty adjustable to me. No external adjustment, sure. This picture clearly shows a thrust bearing with plenty of space for adding washers though. Granted, its an old picture, and doesnt have the hubguard cones, but to say its non adjustable is to be completely ignorant of the way KHE F/Cs work. Mind, I could be missing something, but all the pictures of the internals I can find don't show a visible reason as to why they would be touted as being non adjustable, other than Primo saying thats the way it is.

So, to reiterate, unless there is a hard stop on the axle you can adjust the slack by adding spacers or removing the thrust bearing.

To say remove the thrust bearing Is to be completely ignorant to the fact that they tell you definitively Not to remove the thrust bearing on the newer KHE coasters that have them

Read Right here primo says themselves to make their hub more simple for less maintnence it has no adjustable slack

In my haste I forgot to add that you would have to add enough of a spacer to prevent the clutch from falling off of the driver. The only other reason it is there is to make backpedalling smoother.

I have seen no evidence supporting that claim. This is the point I am trying to make. I apologize if I am coming off as a little condescending in my last posts, but after looking at photos of the internals I see no reason the slack could not be adjusted.

Like I said though, I could very well be missing something, and am open to being proved wrong with evidence, not just a statement on the Merged.

If Ya screwed around with the internals and swapped some parts around you could probably make it adjustable but that defeats the purpose of the idea behind primos design for the hub and you'd probably be better off getting a demolition rotator a solid hub that's designed for adjustment

no adjustable slack and little less than 1/4 of a crank or less depending on your gear ratio (im on 25/9 and it gives me that) just ride chainless for the week it ships to get used to not having that instant pedal

What happened to people not being pussys in bmx? You'd happily run crap slack and have it engage all the time than get used to some proper slack? Takes like 15 mins to get used to... Js

I rode my friend's Demo rotator for like 3 days and he had full slack, I never got used to it i just kept ramming my knees into the stem.
