Currently running a 9t remix hub with a BSD guard for the Mix hub, it threads on and everything but the metal base of the guard keeps tightening my wheel after about 20 minutes of riding, would making the sleeve rotate itself without too much contact on the base solve this problem? It always happens when I grind rough ledges

Most likely. I have a hub that can't fit almost any hubguard except universal ones that slip right over all the hardware. I tried it and it seized up my hub. And my friend could use it but then it rubbed his hub shell if it tightened too much, and the hub was loose if it was tightened too less.

Get a GLAND ? Or just shave it with a grinder a bit , or don't grind rough ledges

I think that's what happened to mine, but i made it free spinning and it works, just added a tiny spacer that only touches the cone and filed the hole of the sleeve so it doesnt completely hold on, works amazing

Yeah, I couldn't do that to mine, and I ripped a secondary seal so I got pissed and just decided to go with a universal hubguard..
