I'm not a big bike person, I just do it for fun and exercise. I have a Diamondback Grind Pro. when I stand up and pedal I hear a click and the chain becomes super loose and I almost fall because it makes me pedal super fast and I can't even ride more than like 5 ft. I tried tightening my chain and it just does the same thing within a day or 2. I don't know much about bikes so please help me out if you can.

Cheap bike issues. Im not quite sure what causes this, but I had this issue with multiple Walmart bikes with the 3/8" rear axle. You can buy some chain tensioners for it, otherwise im not sure theres much to be done other than add washers (didnt help me when I had this issue)

Keeping your chain tight will help. You can also check the chain alignment between the front gear and the rear sprocket. You want those two gears to line up as straight as possible.

Other things that can cause this are a bent sprocket, or if the sprocket is missing a sprocket collar.

If it's coming super loose all time time there might be something that's not allowing it to tighten properly. It could be a washer issue or something like Tim mentioned.

I would take it to your local bike shop and get their opinion.

Its the wheel slipping forward in the dropout. I had this problem with multiple bikes and I gave up and threw them in the trash. I honestly dont understand what makes it slip so easily. Im guessing the small diameter 3/8" nut on hi-tensile steel. I messed around with washers and it didn't help.

Either chain tensioners or maybe raw the dropout and get aluminum washers would be the only way I can imagine to fix this.
