My mini bought used held up awesome, and I honeslty wish I would've kept it sometimes. I love my Demolition stuff, but those were some AWESOME wheels.

While I always recommend looking around, when someone says "just get something else" it usually means they had an issue with theirs. In most cases that I have been personally around (locally) it has been user issues. Not saying that is the case, a lot of people think Profile is high-priced for what it is. Personally I loved mine.

If you like Profile, go for it. I would gladly run them again if the time came for new parts. Currently I have a nice set of Demolition wheels I like too, that have not been problematic in any way, but everyone on here seems to think they will crap out. Been well over a year since I laced them up, I have cleaned the driver I think ONE time.

Take any negative reviews with a grain of salt, as most people will modify their stories to make it seem like they were just "riding along" and it "blew up". Honestly most issues are user error and abuse, and people typically will not tell you they beat the shit out of whatever the part is when it breaks and they aren't happy about it. Now if it lasted several years and finally gave out, most people are like "I had mine for several years and it finally broke. It did well for me". If they trash it in a couple months it's more like "Godammit this piece of fuckin shit crapped out in a couple months of just riding around, no real tricks, only a couple grinds" but what you don't see it that it is trashed and got completely soaked etc.

Id go with one of these amazing hubs> Gsport ratchet, or even better the new that will be realised, shadow btr, the new bsd or the eclat dinamic.

Not a fan of Profile cranks but I love their hubs and if you take care of them they'll do you right.

My mate just bought a set of female minis and apparently he needs to buy some spacers for it to fit In his frame?

Never had a single problem with any profile wheels I've had, running them now as well (I've had a few sets) and have no complaints. Wouldn't run anything else except éclat hubs

This, get a true 14mm female in the back, or a 14mm male. 3/8" will hold up much better to heavy grinding, unless you don't grind then 3/8" will be fine. Profile IS fine to grind on, I know someone who beat the shit out of their 14mm version for years with grinding, on both sides, no problems. Went through at least 4 people now too, axle is still good. Same person who originally had that hub ended up buying new Profile hubs & went with the female in the back, snapped 2 axles & bent the bolt within a year or so's time, not even running 2 pegs in the back. I rode with him quite a lot so I know what kind of abuse that thing went through & the 14mm male held up much better than the 3/8" for grinding.

Personally I would never run anything Profile just because there's so much more out there that's better, for cheaper. Fuck them.

I dont like them because there are better hubs for the price, like the ones i mentioned before. For example the ratchet, that is a lot cheaper.
