I've been riding pegless for about 8 years, all my friends run pegs except me. I'm wanting to do grinds again. However I don't like the length and weight that comes with running normal pegs. I was on Dan's Comp today and saw that Animal has micro pegs. Does anyone have experience with micro pegs? Pros/cons or just any feed back will be greatly appreciated.

ive had a couple friends that had micro pegs. not those ones. but yeah.

all i can say is they open up grinding as an option, and if you dont want full pegs i could see them being a good idea... i mean, getting to grind but not having them. i dont really see a reason not to go fro em.

skooter... dont be a pussy

The front ones currently only work with Animal Hubs, just a heads up.

Also, just saw an ad on here for these:

http://bmxunion.com/daily/madera-bmx-lightning-bolts/

Looks like a similar product from Madera. I am assuming these will only work in Profile or Madera hubs as the thread in them is different than other hubs.

Just use your pedals and dropouts. It's pretty much all I do when I ride. Micro pegs are cheating :p

I run the madera lightning bolts the 1 1/2 on my normal drind side and the 1" on my non grind side they are more than enough to grind with, but in reality look at mike hoder that mans been killing the pegless grind game years.

This.

Plegs are like 4 ounces.

Just got em.. I think they're under 4oz and they slide better than any other plastic peg I've tried.

It all depends on what you have to ride though I guess. There's no grind I can do with pegs that I can't do without em
