You need one front one for squeakers but that's it. Front brakes are great for making up tricks.

If I were you I'd get a 990 Brake Plate. It will add a bit of weight, but 990 Brakes are so much better than Bulldog Brakes.

Since my town is downhill and that's how I get home can I use the front brake as a brake to slow me down.

I'm afraid I'll pull the trigger WAY to hard and go over my bars.

How do you guys slow down instead of completely stop

You get used to using it, like anything else. It's all about feeling it out.

Unless you have like chrome rims and clear pads and dial in your setup amazingly, there's no chance of you even starting to go over your bars. But then again, I'm always sitting down so I'm not much help.

I do, too, with a black Rollcage. Not even close to being able to make you go forward. Just enough for nosepicks and such.

Yeah, I have a black rim too.

What are the first things I should do with front brakes?
