recently i snapped my chain crossing a junction in the dark when there is no chain on the driver it should just spin and not make any noise but my driver would not move and was clicking i took the wheel off and the hub seemed fine it no play in it and the bearings were smooth but when i put the wheel back in and just hand tightened it the driver would not turn and the hub would just click.

PLEASE HELP

Thanks

My hubs have always done that. My ratchet is doing it right now. I've been chain less for like a week or two now

All hubs do this. There is nothing wrong with your hub

Hey man sounds like your pawls are gripping or there is too much pressure on the driver bearings when you tighten the chain. try and loosen the chain a bit first then check the pawls and make sure there is enough grease in there

Bad bearing in the hub somewhere, when side force is applied it shifts and locks up.
