I was told at the fracture clinic yesterday that I should wait 4 months before I can ride again, but that seems like a long time to me.

so just wondered if any of you or anyone you know has had the same or a similar injury and if so how long it took you or them to get back to 100% and back on the bike again.

usually the doctors say a little bit extra time just to make fully sure that your good but most people can start riding sooner than what the doctors say just cruise around take it easy and see how much you can handle in like 2 months

autumn is actually my fave season to ride in sad

Hopefully it won't be as long as the doctor has said tho, its a bad break but 4 months seems a little overkill to me.

It's because your hands take a TON of stress all the time, and you don't want it to happen again.

Honestly I would take the Dr orders seriously, so you don't cause issues later. Tough it out, film your homies for now, and cruise. When the time comes, you will go in and have a checkup, and they may adjust those orders.

BUT LISTEN TO THEM TO AVOID MORE ISSUES.

A buddy of mine broke a bone in his hand and rode anyway, he was in a cast for a year and a half, THEN a brace for another 6 months.

my hands are fucked.

reason being because I:

a) don't go to doctors
b) don't take it easy when my shits fucked.

wait a while before you ride man, just cruise around and flow at most, video for your friends. don't put stress on that shit... youll pay for it later on if you do

actually. my body in general is fucked from a and b lol

I guess your right, I don't wanna end up like your mate that's for sure, that's mental.

My skavenger will be finished by the time I'm back to riding again so I've got that to look forward to at least.

Gonna be a long autumn tho, roll on 2015

Indoor parks? Save money and take a weekend trip with some homies to a decent indoor setup?
