I drilled holes in my tt and dt, cut my seat tube down, cut off brake mounts, shaved drop outs and made a cut out in the headtube and bb shell to save weight.

I come from an era when shaving drop outs was the in thing. Back in the early 2000's Drop outs where fucking massive so you just shaved the bottom or contoured them to the shape of your peg so you didn't wreck your drop outs grinding because quite a few frames didn't have heat treated drop outs too. Also to Zenith, A lot of frames in that time too only came with welded mount options & i know from my point of view it was sheer aesthetics but i didn't like the big lugs, guides & in some cases welded gyro tabs sticking out of my frame! If you did a good job of it & then Re-painted your frame you would never have known the frame came with the mounts etc.

Now to what i think are ridiculous... I never liked the Eastern grim reaper style frame with all the fucking stupid cut outs but what made it worse was when kids decided they could do it to their normal frame & just cut massive holes in their frames! I never liked Drop Outs with holes in them stock but when people drilled holes in them i think that's pretty idiotic! Never got the whole wedge mod thing either cutting your frame down so you can never run anything but a wedge post *Claps Hands* good way to ruin your frame buddy. When Sunday showed their original Second Wave it had the shorter headset cups that just held the bearings & didn't cover them, i have seen a couple of people take a grinder to their head tubes (Not just on Sunday frames either!) Drilling holes in your grip tubes on your bars because it "prevents throttle grip" is also a fucking stupid idea IT DOESN'T I know a couple of companies still offering this too! As mentioned by a couple of you doing it to your cross bar too! Way to weaken your bars one of the most important parts of your bike that you REALLY don't want to break! I've seen people only run 2 bolts in the front of their 4 bolt face plate because that's "all you need" & you "save weight". I think that's all i can think of right now, over my 12/13 years in BMX i have seen some Fucking Retarded "Modifications"

But my bike is lighter. Also cut my bars, seat post, got rid of my seat clamp, cut forks, took the padding out of my seat and cut my grips down a bit.

I removed my seat, cut the seat tube flush, and stuck a maxi pad to my frame with the adhesive tape. Saved soooo much weight! I'm going to drill holes in my Ribcages next so they look like the old mongoose proclass rims!

no jokes, i think it's kind of heavy tho. I got folding tires but I think ima get race tires and a lighter headset and sprocket mine r too heavy. I'm actually working on drilling holes in my rims too, to make them lighter because they're really heavy too.
