Well my friend "found" a rail & we took it to our one friend's house who left scootering to go to bmx about 2 or so weeks ago cause he has a small grind box as well, and dug it into the ground. We had a sweet rail sesh on it yesterday & I can do sloppy x-up stalls/grind like an inch or 2 but I wanna get them better. Anyone have any tips or anything? Right now I'm kinda just bunnyhopping higher than the rail & hoping I land pegs on the rail haha. Also for crooks, my back peg slides off sometimes & when I do actually slide I just don't feel locked into them so I get scared haha. I know you're supposed to like pinch your knees together right? Any advice is appreciated!

Here's the rail & me doing a sloppy x-up pegs on it (:

Also CSB & all but I learned switch hangers on another really small rail today. Nothing crazy, but I'm pumped haha

Nice edit session thingy. Do many cars go down that street? It would be sweet if you set up ramps and stuff and had jams or sessions there, it looks lke your kinda doing that already though haha

When you do the crook, go at it almost like a feeble, the way i did em when i had 3 pegs is i just landed feeble on the rail and then pushed it onto the peg. then you will learn to aim it right and try to kinda keep your weight right over the rail and youll be fine. and yeah, you can pinch your knees in a little if that helps. nice edit too. i wish i still had a rail haha

Not usually, we had the box in the middle of the road for a bit when my friends were trying to go from rail to box/box to rail though & we'd have to move it occasionally.

But yeah I said the same thing today. I told him he should just block off the alley & put a quarter on both sides haha

so like keep my body over the rail basically? sounds like it would help. but yeah when I learned crook stalls years ago that's what I'd do haha. But now I know how to hop into them right, sliding the grind is what's killing me.

And make a rail! Trust me, make a rail like this & you'll have so much fun. It's actually bar height too, we dug it into the ground that much to make it sturdy

Crooks. Try and land in and ice and try and drop the front over and down. With the sliding off issues you have to try and twist the arse end into the rail by moving your hips

I'm a punk bmxer, I can't do it well so I do it loud.

that's how I get into them now, good to know I was doing them right haha. I kinda get what you mean for the sliding off part, I'll try that next time I ride the rail, thanks!

Excellent looking rail, but a little too close to the electric post?

i'm trying to get crooks dialed myself. the front always likes to fall off.

i'll keep peeping this thread for useful tips.

Haha we didn't exactly thing that through & that was the only place we could throw it anyway. It's only in the way if you wanna put the box in front of the rail to go from rail to box grinding on the left at least.

& to keep your front on, I pinch my knees together & kinda pull more with my right arm more than my left to keep the front end over
