So i need a new rim for my bmx bike. The rim I have now is 36mm wide. I found another rim and it doesnt say the width. Does it matter that i have one rim thats 36mm and one that might be some other size will it affect my riding or anything. Please let me know thanks

Update: My back wheel rim would be 36mm wide and front wheel would be 44.5mm would this be a problem?

No it doesn't matter.

You'll be okay. Just don't pick something outrageously out of the 36mm ballpark.

It doesn't say the size at all for the rim I'm going with.

What rim is it? As long as it's 20" it'll be fine

Yeah the wheel is still going to be 20 inch but the width of rim is changing but i doubt it matters thanks

Rather than doubting if it matters, we can tell you for definite. For example, a standard 20" bmx tyre won't fit on some race rims. All you have to do is be a bit more specific and we can give a definite yes or no answer
