Thinking about getting a demolition zero rim for the back and a rhythm pro rim for the front is this a good setup or not.

Demolition is alright, but why the fuck do you want a racing rim for the front

|

10/7/2014 6:54 PM

How about odyssey quadrant or shadow conspiracy orbis for the front

|

10/7/2014 6:57 PM

quadrant maybe, orbis no

I'm on the vital legit list!

Not worried about strength on the front as much as the back so I'd like to shave off some weight on the front and be a weight weenie but I still want something strong and affordable.

Something like the alienation felon or runaway

Birdcages front and back. Light and strong and pretty much the best rims you can buy if you're not jumping off roofs everyday.

|

10/7/2014 7:14 PM

I looked at the birdcages and their nice but expensive so I'll probly stay away from em

|

10/7/2014 7:18 PM

I'm gunna guess the best setup you could go with if you wanted to is a birdcage in the front and a hazard lite in the back

I disagree. I ran the orbis in the front for a year and never needed to true it.

I have two Alienation Runaway Stay Strongs (6069-T6, 30% stronger than 6061, Gsport/Fly style cross lace) in black im looking to get rid of. I would sell them both for $60 shipped. Great condition.

Orbis are pretty shit. A few of my friends had them and wanted me to true their wheels but they were bent to shit. And don't support Alienation if you're not a cunt. Shitty, low quality parts that were either ripped off of other companies or designed by a moron. But it's less about the low quality parts, and more about how they're just a really shitty company.

Uf you want something lite get a set of bonedeth pornhubs laced to 48h ribcage

|

10/8/2014 9:25 AM

I've had a rhynolite xl in the front since '07 and it is perfectly straight. About to switch my 7000 primo balance rear for another rhynolite. Balance rim is too wide and not that light. Don't need such a strong back rim when all I do is roast trails at mach speeds.

They make all black ones. Those silver side ones are gross.

I rode a silver wall Rhynolite a few years ago cause I cracked the nipple holes in a a lot of places on my all black Rhynolite, and a friend had the silver wall Rhynolite cheap so I just got that, then later ordered a better rim. Wasn't the rim's fault, my fault for over tightening some spokes. Rhynolites are solid front rims, and can be used for the rear but I wouldn't recommend them for the rear if you're doing big drops daily personally.
